No matter how out of shape you are, your results are determined by how bad you want it, and how much you put into it. Before we go into the challenge, we want to tell you just 4 things.


1. DISCIPLINE IS CRUCIAL

No one can get you to lose weight but yourself. You are the only person whose stopping yourself from achieving the fitness you want. You need to have the discipline to go to the gym on a regular basis. You need the discipline to not eat the food you shouldn’t. You already know what you have to do to lose weight. It is because of your lack of discipline that you are where you are. The secret to losing weight is to eat fewer calories. There are only two ways to do that: consume less calories, or burn off calories with exercising. If you stick to these two rules, you will lose weight. Don’t fall off the wagon. Stick to the plan, and in time, you will get to where you want.


2. THERE ARE NO SHORT CUTS

We’ve all seen the infomercials selling us shortcuts. 10 minute abs, diet pills, shakes, programs, etc. Just remember this. Your results are directly parallel with how much effort you put in. There are NO short cuts. You will have to sweat, feel pain, put in the time, put in the effort, work the hours to get results. It’s not going to be easy. It never will be easy. If it was, you’d be in shape. So remember that there is no short cuts in life. You have to put in the work to get the results you want. And anybody that tells you differently, is just out to make a quick buck off of you.


3. WHAT IS YOUR WHY

You have to know why you are doing what you’re doing especially if it requires lots of effort to get where you want. Dano and I have our own reasons why we want to lose weight. There will be times where you feel like giving up, but knowing why you’re doing it, and reminding yourself your reasons when you’re about to quit, will be that extra motivation to put you back in the game. Know why you are doing what you are doing. Have a reason for working out whether it’s to stay alive, be more active, have more energy, prevent a disease, attract the opposite sex, etc. Just know why it’s important to do what your doing, and it’ll keep you in the game.


4. THE POWER OF NOW

We are all procrastinators. We innately enjoy pleasure and hate pain. So we delay pain as far into the future as possible. But the longer we wait, the longer we suffer. We might think that we’ll start dieting beginning next year, or next month, but we can’t control that “future me”. Life is short. Take action now, and stop giving yourself excuses. You know they are excuses. So stop it. And start now. The moment you start working out, and controlling what you eat, is the moment you begin to get healthier, more attractive, and happier. Remember, the best time to do it is now.
